Digital Prints

A collection of prints made in response to the poems of the Cumbrian poet Norman Nicholson.

These prints were arrived at through my use of stone and plate lithography and painting. I created small collages of different elements; prints taken from the surface of limestone captured the stone’s soft, organic textures and onto these I collaged printed images of trees, rocks and fossils.

The collages were then digitally photographed which drew together all the elements of the collage. Once I was happy with the digital image it was then printed in as a small edition of 50 prints.
